Understanding FTP, HTML and PHP Internet Codes

Web designing is dependant on internet codes that bind the website together. If you are building a website, you will come across terms like FTP, HTML and PHP internet codes. I know my friend who is learning these through online courses and doing well. Let’s see what they are in detail:

FTP Code – Known as File Transfer Protocol, the FTP simply means transferring something from your computer to the hosting site. Then, the web hosting site transfers the file to the World Wide Web. Direct transfer from the computer to World Wide Web is not possible because personal computers are not powerful enough to do that. Your website dashboard will have an inbuilt command for FTP. You simply have to login and upload the file.

HTML Code – HTML or Hyper Text Markup Language are special character codes responsible to connect websites with other pages and images. The codes are inserted within the text, videos, or images. Every webpage that you see today is composed of HTML codes. These codes contain tags that instruct the web browser as to how a piece of information should be displayed. If the coding goes wrong, the intended webpage is not displayed.

PHP Code – Earlier known as “personal home page”, the PHP was developed by Rasmus Lerdorf to display his resume way back in 1995. The script would display the number of visitors and clicks on his website. Later it was developed for use in commercial and personal websites as well. The PHP script is used in web designing, sending cache, receiving cookies, and also for interface with other services.

The PHP script can hide email addresses and convert it into HTML files. These days every web server runs on PHP and is used to create dynamic webpages. If you are not educated about PHP codes and its use in website designing, it is better to hire a professional to do the work for you.
